DAY 1 : STAGE 1

Ref. Vents del Cadí - Rebost Refuge

Leave the car in the car park of Cal Cerdanyola (la Salle Natura).

Cross the Torrent dels Empedrats stream and cross it on the right along a wide path that goes up the course of the water (PR C-125). Pass in front of the Vents del Cadí hostel and follow the wide, marked path which, after a bridge, changes banks and immediately leaves the path on the left that climbs up to the "Bullidor de la Llet" spring (recommended off-route visit).

The path enters the Forat d'Escriu gorge, an aesthetic ravine (to be watched out for in times of high water) that shows the remains of the old cobblestones that give this part of the route its name: "Els Empedrats".

Once you have passed the narrow pass, the path continues to climb alongside the river and through a thick forest, which is very pleasant on hot days. Once you reach the Font d'Escriu, take a path on the right that will take you to the Caseta d'Escriu, where you continue along an aesthetic and marked path that will take you to the Coll d'Escriu. Take the GR-107 and go down to look for the road that goes from Bagà to Coll de Pal and then cross it to go to Refugi del Rebost.

The last climb of about 3 km to the refuge offers the first panoramic views of the day. After a stretch of forest you reach the cosy refuge from where you can see Pedraforca.

DAY 2 : STAGE 2

Rebost - Niu de l'Àliga Refuge

Uninterrupted ascent from the Rebost, a marvellous path through a pine forest with clearings that are authentic high mountain meadows. From left to right (from south to north) you can see Pedraforca, Cadí and Moixeró.

As you gain altitude, you leave the vegetation behind and the path enters the classic high altitude terrain, which is more rocky.

We continue until we reach first the Collada de Comafloriu and then the Colladeta de Comabella, passing by the Serrat Gran and Puig de Comabella, both of which are around 2,400m high, following the path marked by the mountain range.

From there we will face the last ascent to finish reaching the Niu de l'Aliga refuge, the highest refuge in the Catalan Pyrenees that is kept all year round (2,510m).

DAY 3 : STAGE 3

Niu de l'Àliga - Sant Jordi Refuge

We leave the Niu de l'Àliga refuge following the crest of the Serra de Moixeró towards the Coll de Moixeró along the GR 150 .1. Pass the Coll de Jou and head towards Penyes Altes, a popular peak not because it is the highest in the mountain range but because of its magnificent panoramic view over Berguedà and Cerdanya.

We descend from the peak along the same GR and from the Coll de Moixeró we take a path that is not very frequented that will take us to the Refugi Sant Jordi.

DAY 4 | STAGE 4

Refuge Sant Jordi - Vents del Cadi

Descend from the Refugi to Vents in 2h-2.20h to reach our destination.

Starting from an open and sunny area where the refuge is located, the path descends next to the river and through a thick forest, which is very pleasant on hot days.

As we lose height, the forest appears and a narrow valley opens up at our feet that leads to the town of Bagà, the Baga d'Escriu following the marks of the PR C-125.

After a steep slope we arrive at the Font Gran Escriu at about 1300 metres according to the sign, at this point the GR-107 passes by the spring.

The path narrows and enters the Forat d'Escriu gorge, an aesthetic ravine (to be watched out for in times of high water) that shows the remains of the old cobblestones that give their name to this part of the route: "Els Empedrats", crossing the Torrent del Faig several times.

We continue along the path and on the right we leave the path that goes up to the spring of "Bullidor de la Llet" (recommended visit) to cross a bridge (Pont del Bullidor) changing banks and following a wide and marked path PR C-125 that goes parallel to the river and arrives in front of the hostel Vents del Cadí.
