All mountain huts comply with the health and hygiene protocols established by the health authorities of the country in which they are located and may apply additional regulations. You will be informed of these protocols in advance, upon arrival at each shelter, and we will comment on them in the Briefing. It is important that the whole group knows this information.
In order to access the French mountain huts, you need to fill in and sign a document. The Alta Ruta team will send it to you by email and we will do all the paperwork for you, so that you don't have to fill it in at each hut on arrival.
We must also have all the personal details of all the people trekking with us, as well as the emergency contact details.
We will inform you of these formalities as the dates of your route approach.
When you finish the trek each day and before entering a mountain hut, you must designate a group leader (always the same) who will be the one to enter the huts to make the entrance of the group and receive the information about the protocol to be followed. He/she will then pass this information on to the rest of the group.
The mountain huts have a reduced capacity and you will be given indications during your stay, such as dormitory, timetables, etc. Please cooperate with the rangers at all times.
In all the mountain huts it is necessary to bring a sleeping bag (sheet sack is not valid, there are no blankets or pillows), toilet paper for some mountain huts, sanitary mask, hydro-alcoholic gel and rest-time footwear. Respect the schedules for breakfast and dinner, whenever possible keep the safety distance with the rest of the people in the mountain hut, take care and respect the environment and follow the instructions of the rangers at all times.
The cooperation of everyone is essential for your safety and that of the people who are working there.
